For senior parents who couldn't attend last night's FAFSA support night, here are two links to help you as you start the FAFSA process. 1st- Create a FAFSA Id.  Students need one and one parent needs one.   https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/sign-in/landing 2nd.- Complete the 2023/2024 FAFSA.  Where it asks about work study, we recommend saying yes.  You are under no obligation to take it if you qualify for it.  https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

AGC LRD has developed a Youth Registered Pre-Apprenticeship Training Addendum , with 6 different unions, allowing union employers to hire high school co-op students on their projects. Here are a few highlights – - This amends the current lower peninsula AGC Agreements - Trades include - BAC Bricklayers/Cement Masons, Carpenters, Ironworkers, Millwrights, Operating Engineers, OPCMIA Cement Masons -High School Youth Registered Pre-Apprenticeship Students can be mentored and trained in any one of these trade disciplines, or in all of them -The intent is to get more people exposed to the union construction industry, to show students how great our industry is, and to grow our collective workforce -There will be no jurisdictional disputes between the unions involved in this addendum -Students shall earn no less than $15/hour Contact your local union hall for the trades listed above for more information.
