Battle of the Books (BOB) is an extra-curricular, book-based, team quiz competition. It is designed to promote reading and critical thinking about the world. Each year the national BOB organization chooses books that encompass a variety of interests and literary genres. Throughout the season students read books from the list and prepare for a school battle.
Students form and register their own teams in the spring of each year. Books are distributed at the end of the school year and read throughout the summer. The season ends with the school competition in the fall.
The 2019 Battle of the Books competition is Friday, November 1st from 2:30-4:30 in the high school media center.
