Seventeen students and four staff members competed against one another in Linden High School's 7th Annual Battle of the Books on October 27th. Battle of the Books is an extra-curricular reading activity culminating in a quiz-based competition.
Our 2017 champions read 16 books and answered 60 questions about those books to narrowly upset the reigning 2016 champions by just 20 points. The winning team was coached by Interim Assistant Principal, Jon Aue. Mr. Schneider, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Durant also fielded teams for the event, which was judged by Dr. George.
Registration will begin for the 2018 competition in May and the book list will be revealed during 8th-grade Parent Night at the high school early in the spring.
