A Sustainable City Energy Summer Camp, sponsored by DTE at Kettering University is open to all current 8th through 10th grade students. The week-long program runs from July 22nd through August 3rd. Students will tour Michigan power facilities, learn about sources of power, understand the impact of the Flint water crisis and work on projects to build systems using energy conversion devices.
Twenty area students are selected each year to train in this exciting summer program. Applicants are considered on a first-come-first-served basis. The application deadline is May 1st and the cost is $25.
